BETWEEN THE LINES
Why is everyone so afraid of Obama?
Exclusive: Joseph Farah offers only solution to 'fundamental transformation' of America
I get that question all the time.
Maybe you do, too.
What’s the answer?
Is it really because so many Americans are afraid of being called “racist”?
Is it really because so many Americans, especially those in leadership positions, don’t want to sound intolerant and un-hip?
Is it really because so many Americans just don’t want to step out of line and face Internal Revenue Service audits or some other reprisal?
Barack Obama ran for president pledging to “fundamentally change America.”
It’s the one and, perhaps, only campaign promise he has kept.
He wasn’t lying when he said that. He wasn’t soft-soaping Americans. He wasn’t watching his words carefully any more than when he explained to Joe the Plumber that we just needed to “spread the wealth around.” It was a rare moment of undeniable and unguarded candor.
He has change the country fundamentally. It was his purpose for running all along. And, as most Americans see now, he has changed it fundamentally for the worse.
But how does he get away with it?
Why aren’t more people standing up? Why aren’t more opponents of his policies rising up in righteous anger? Why, have I wondered many times aloud, aren’t more people out in the streets?
There are many answers to that question.
- America’s powerful cultural institutions – the press, the entertainment industry, the foundations, the schools and universities, etc. – like what he is doing. They were taken over a long time ago by a worldview that is anti-American, anti-God and anti-truth. That was the result of a determined long march through the cultural institutions by so-called “progressives” that was designed to make political power fall into the hands of someone like Barack Obama.
- For generations now, America’s education establishment has not been about teaching intrinsic values, American history as a triumph of liberty, eternal truths and the ability to learn. Instead it has fostered unlearning, non-learning, a form of indoctrination that would turn young people into sheep headed for the shearer.
- Government is an institution always ready to assert itself into the moral vacuum when the foundation of self-government breaks down.
America was ripe for the taking.
But I’ll just bet he is surprised sometimes how easy it all was.
I have no doubt he wonders some days why he doesn’t have more real opposition – whether he is being set up.
But most days he is probably more inclined, as a narcissist and ego-maniac, to believe he’s invincible, a man of destiny, maybe even anointed by some force for a time such as this.
He may think he can do whatever he wants and get away with it.
Wouldn’t you think like that if you had lived his life?
I’m convinced, however, that the solution to the problem is not so much in the election of 2014 or 2016.
I’m convinced the real solution is how Americans respond not in the voting booth, but rather in their spiritual lives.
It is the poor condition of America’s spiritual life that the potential for Obama’s America was birthed. And it is in the condition of America’s poor life that resides the solution.
Read “The Harbinger” by Jonathan Cahn, if you haven’t already. See the movie “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment,” if you haven’t already. Therein lies the real answer.
It’s found in an ancient book. It’s found in the words of the Creator spoken to the wisest man who ever lived. It’s found in II Chronicles 7:14.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Take it to heart.
If you do, no power on earth can stop the power that created the earth.
