‘Birther’ arrested during Constitution reading
January 6th, 2011
When Rep. Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) read the part of Article II, Section 1 mandating that only a “natural-born citizen” may be president, the woman, seated in the front row of the public gallery, screamed:
“Except Obama, except Obama. Help us Jesus.”
An officer removed her from the gallery as she yelled out “My name is Theresa.”
“You’re under arrest,” the officer could be heard telling her as he led her through double doors at the back of the chamber.
Members are rotating by party as they read short passages from the amended version of the founding document. Speaker of the House John Boehner kicked off the reading, followed by Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
Other than high attendance on the House floor and participation by leaders and rank-and-file members of both parties, the early part of what was expected to be a roughly two-hour reading was unremarkable until the outburst.
Update: Capitol Police confirmed Thursday evening that 48-year-old Theresa Cao of New York was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct, disruption of Congress, processed and released.
Comment by American Grand Jury:
Funny as heck — Politico is such a Communist rag — they couldn’t wait to publish this story using ‘Birther’ in the title.
Good for Theresa Cao — you are not alone, there are 50 to 100 million of us out there that think Obama is nothing but a liar and a fraud.
Hey, I’m a BIRTHER and proud of it. That must make me a RACIST.
At least I am not a Liberal Progressive — THAT makes them MARXISTS. If you don’t know what a Marxist is, Google it!

An election for President and Commander in Chief of the Military must strive to be above reproach. Our public institutions must give the public confidence that a presidential candidate has complied with the election process that is prescribed by our Constitution and laws. It is only after a presidential candidate satisfies the rules of such a process that he/she can expect members of the public, regardless of their party affiliations, to give him/her the respect that the Office of President so much deserves.
