SURVEYOR SYMBOLS...USED BY SURVEYORS!...Thanks to a loyal GUL reader who is a SURVEYOR!!!!!!! Look at #79 and #86...

  1. Okay, so it looks like it "could" be a benchmark symbol from a surveyor's map. But why would Palin use the benchmark symbol for something she wants to get changed? It doesn't make any sense for Palin's analogy, to change the locations that are marked. You see, a benchmark is a static location, it doesn't change and it is used to measure all the area around it from a vertical standpoint for topography. It doesn't move, or change. If you were to go to the actual location depicted on the map, the location of the symbol would reveal to you an actual brass plate that is embedded in the rock. So, the benchmark is "set in stone". NOT something (I would guess) that Sarah wanted to convey with her map.......

  2. It's crosshairs. The surveyor bs is a ruse to deflect righteous criticism. This post is an attempt to help cover her ass.
